Good news: i dont know, really.
Bad news: if you dont know what "OS" means, you computer is probably fucked with viruses beyond the point of salvation.
**Specs: **"specifications" - the hardware, parts and versions for your computer, which you should know by heart of you play games. Most of them can be found under "system information" on windows.
**OS: **Operating System, like windows 7, windows 10, Ubuntu, OS X Yosemite, ect.
Drivers: Software that runs important hardware in the computer, in this case the graphics processor (GPU). Outdated or incorrect driver versions cause all sorts of issues.
A computer crashing when it is trying to load a program suggests one of a few things: corrupt or damaged hard drive areas, a virus that is interfering in come way, or corrupt/modified graphics drivers, although i have never heard of bad drivers causing a full system freeze.
My bet is on hard drive problems, especially if the computer is more then 5 years old.
Here is what you should do:
Get the free version of malwarebytes antimalware. It is possibly the best free virus-removal program. Install it, run a full scan of your computer. It cant hurt, and it may help. Do it every few months.

If you are on windows, run CHKDSK "Check Disk", this is a windows tool that checks your hard drive for damage or errors.

Choose the disk to check ( C disk, if you have more than one), if it cannot check while the computer is running, schedule the check and restart the computer.
If it finds any issues, it will prompt repairs.

If on windows, type "windows update" into start menu search and check for updates, this should include graphics drivers and security updates.
On mac, updates are usually handled automatically.
