Zyra passive triggers Malmortius

Ned Divine··2 votes·602 views

It seems that Zyra's after death plant form shot triggers Maw of Malmortius' passive ability. As the abilities read, Zyra's passive does True Damage, and MoM triggers off of Magic Damage, so this should not be the case.

I'm sorry that I do not have any screenshots or videos to share.

It triggers off any damage. It only blocks magic with the shield.

That is not what the ability description on MoM says. If that is the case, then it's not so much a bug as a typo.

Then its a typo. Try killing yourself at a turret and it'll still activate inb4 lyte bans me for telling people to kill themselves

No, it won't activate. Just went into a custom game, bought Hexdrinker, and then died to a turret. The magic shield did not activate. did the exact same thing with Maw of Malmortius, I died to a turret and the shield did not activate.

It will (and should) only activate if you take magic damage that would bring you below 30% HP.

DId that Zyra had Liandry, since Liandry can proc from Zyra passive, and Liandry does magic damage. So its interaction can proc Maw.

That is a possibility. Although MoM blocked all the damage from Zyra's shot, which shouldn't be the case even with Liandry's, no?
