Grey Lock in or champion ban key

Sometimes when i am in matchmaking and it's my turn to pick, ban or lock in, I can't due too the key that's colloured grey instead of orange. This mostly happends when it's my first game. It happends occaissionly, not every match. I lose connection everytime it's my turn to pick/ban/lock in. But when others are doing so, I'm having no issues. I reinstalled the game and it still doesn't work. How can i fix this?
