Can't download game from website

I had to reinstall league of legends after I kept getting an error message so after I deleted the game completely off my computer I went to reinstall it and found I could not download it. I have no idea what the problem could be I am playing on a macbook pro running osx yosemite. Please help

edit 2: i looked everywhere tried changing dns and everything but still no luck please help

Having the same exact problem, and the same time too, i think it might have something to do with the a.akamaihd.net part... i think its a malware thats stopping the download. not sure though... still working on it... Amumu item 3070

edit: I got a response from riot support and they didnt mention the a.akamaihd.net part... none of their solutions worked. basically they just sent me here: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/204134104 Maybe it will work for you.

Ey guys, i know this is a dead post and that you probably won't see it. I just had this problem today and i solved it. The solution could be stupid, but at least it worked on me, try to follow those steps:

Open Internet Explorer
Tell him not to be your predeterminated browser
Press Alt+x and click on Internet Options
Click on Advanced tab
Press Reset
Unmark the "Delete personal settings" if it is marked and press reset again.
Close Internet Explorer and all League process
Try to download it.

This tutorial also works if you are having the RADS error shittyakamaidunnowhatelse and you cannot open League launcher. Just change step 8 to -> 8. Run league as admin.

I hope this help some of you guys, I took hours to solve it....
