Cleanse removes Veigar's ult {Gameplay}

I dont know if this is truly a bug or not but ill talk about it anyway. My friend just came back from a game as veigar and he said that his enemy lane opponent had cleanse and that when he tried to ult his opponent, the enemy used cleanse and they didnt take any damage. I read the cleanse description and i felt like that shouldnt have happened so i am reporting it here. 1)Be Veigar or someone with cleanse laning against a veigar 2) Target someone with your ult(make sure that person has cleanse)/ When veigar uses his ult 3) When the ult is on its path to the target use cleanse and you shouldnt take any damage.
