Got an S and an S+ but no box
system has said chests are available and i got an S and an S+, but no chest.

You can only earn so many at a time, there is a timer on your profile.
You can only get one chest per champion in a given season. If you have chests available, this would be my only possible explanation for not receiving your chest unless it is indeed a bug.
