Chat box not appearing in spectator mode

So when I'm in spectator mode I dont have access to a chat box, no typing, no item purchase notifications, or anything. Going into interface options and toggling all chat does nothing, and the chat box option in the spectator settings does nothing as well. I think I know what causes this, In games I moved my chat box over to the left side of the screen, when in spectator mode it carries the position setting of the chatbox over. The problem is that the default position of the chat box in a game is on the right side of the screen and the default position in spectator mode is on the left, and since the settings carry over this causes the chat box to basically stop existing while in spectator mode. If I move my box in game back to the right side then it's fine in spectator.
