hextech key glitch

So I went to play a game with friends on league. I logged into a hextech key fragment, and i found that i had 3 shards, so i crafted the key and clicked to join my friends group via game invite. When i went back to hextech to open my check my key shards were missing and i had no key. i wasn't missing a chest and i had no new skins/champ shards in my hextech tab. help?????
