Around 1 in every 10 games I play on Howling Abyss have this visual bug. The Icons for abilities are just green blocks, and random icons in the Tab screen and shop also are missing. Relogging fixes this issue 100% of the time. I have repaired and reinstalled the game as well as verify my graphics card setting were correct.

Pc uses a Nvidia Titan X and i have a 4.0 GHZ processor, Windows 7 with all drivers and updates installed and functioning properly.

Even though the icons do not appear if I mouse over them the ability/item description comes up and clicking on the blank area will still cast the spell.

By any chance during the loading screen, you switch windows (Alt+Tab, for example)? The effect of your bug is different, so I can't be sure if it can be caused by the same thing. The fix is also the same; exit the game and the visual stuff will function correctly.

There's a chance switching screens during the loading screen will cause a specific visual bug that most people in this website experience. It's probably the same as you if you do switch windows during the loading screen.
