cant duo ranked 'rank diff too high'

i didnt have a season 9 rank but i got to d4 in preseason, my premade finished s9 gold and ended preseason in p1, we duo'd like 10 last preseason games, now cant play together cuz rank diff is too high ? is this because i had no rank in s9 or is this the same bug happening
