DJ Sona Creating Crippling In-Game Lag

Hello to other players and everyone at Riot,

I'm writing in to inform of some issues I've been having with the DJ Sona skin. Whenever I'm in a game with her, (playing with, as, or against a user with the skin) I experience terrible lag and decreased game performance. Typically I lose control of my character (having them completely stop moving), and my FPS drops to 5 or below. I've tried reducing both visual and audio settings to their absolute lowest, but nothing seems to do the trick. I was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing similar problems and/or has found a solution.

I've also uploaded a DxDiag file in .txt format, as suggested by the 'how to report a bug' thread on the forum archives. Hopefully it might help in providing information.

while what Savag3ly is saying is true, i want to listen to the music and play as her. If i am paying 30 bucks for an ultimate skin it needs to be fully functional. i have extreme framerate issues when listening to the music and the game used to run like butter. I know it's not my computer and i want to be able to play the skin. i'm sure riot has noticed with this stream of complaints coming in so i think we should all be patient and wait for riot's response which will most likely come swiftly.

I have noticed the same problems but ONLY when I'm listening to her music or playing as her with that skin. If you don't have the custom music on, it shouldn't cause lag as a teammate. If you yourself are playing as DJ Sona, it may still cause the issue. I haven't tested that yet. But I just tested to see if performance went back to normal while having her custom music muted and it did. I haven't experienced any lag with her on an enemy team, though. That's news to me.

Played 2 games yesterday with a DJ sona in both I was constantly at 4 fps. could not do shit.

So far I've only had the issue when I was playing as Sona with the skin.

i noticed it happens only when i have concussive mode on, the other 2 i dont have issues with but yea the lag is make me very dizzy

I have 2 computers, one is an Alienware laptop the other is a custom built computer. My Laptop doesn't receive lag, instead it blue screens....and black screens...but only if I'm playing as DJ Sona, or playing with a DJ Sona. My PC receives random frame rate drops when DJ Sona is in the area, but it isn't that big of an issue. The biggest issue is the blue screen. When I first started getting them I figured it was a driver issue so I re-installed/updated everything on my computer, I even did a full re-install of the operating system. After that I started getting black screens with looping music of death. You could argue that it sounds like a fatal error with the hardware or something went bad with the drivers, but I tested 3 other games for several hours and my laptop fan didn't even turn on. All temperatures are normal, everything on the laptop is up to date including the BIOS, I even did a full system check of the hardware and no issues came up. I'm not sure if anyone else is getting this issue...but thanks to Riots new system of punishing people who "leave" games I had to go through 5 painstakingly annoying games to try to get out of low priority que. It could just be my laptop cant handle League anymore, but it would be nice to know if anyone else was having these issues since it seems several people are getting frame rate drops.

Yes sir i have the same problem although my fps is not low but my screen is tearing when i move my camera around this is really bothering me bought the skin and cant play riot please fix it!

Played a bot match today. No Sona DJ or otherwise. but still 4 fps. from what I have seen. Dj sona Is not the cause of the problem. the 5.4 patch is.

Same here. TBH i encounter the frame lag sec I get into summoners rift , I play windowed mode and second we enter the game freezes and wont respond for a few seconds then it ll normaly work but at times in lane i get some big time lag that whole game freezes for a bit at times resulting in me or my adc dying cause i cant respond in time >,< (not to mention the hassle u get cause ppl complain and swear at u for being sht while it aint rly ur fault) .S ame freeze/crash happens at the end of the game as well with this skin when the defeat or victory sign pops up. Would be nice if it gets fixed asap else whats the point on paying for this expensive skin and not being able to use it cause it ruins ur game performance (literally :P)

I've even been lagging out in the beginning of the match and having to take a Leaver penalty for not being able to move. The music stays and plays in the back ground but i have to always wait for the rest of the game to load in . Its just a darkened environment with not even myself at spawn and her first song playing. Please fix this soon, it's hard to play with a very beautiful skin when it causes you such issues.
