Bug on LeBlanc Etheral Chains?

Well I just played a match with LeBlanc, and I had a Rammus on my team, i noticed, when he knocked up the enemy, that my E "broke" and didn't root the targeted champion. Just played one match, but maybe someone has encountered the same issue, so I'm posting this to drag attention to it and look for an actual bug

I do not play le blanc but can it be that rummus knocked the champ out of range?
