I have played as Fiddle jungle today, in enemy jungle was Garen. It happened always - I silenced him, when he tried q, but it didn't stop his ability to silence me, when I was draining him, so he could easily stop that. Is it okay? I think it is not. What is fiddle's silence for when it won't stop Garen's abilities, but he can stop mine.
His Q is an auto attack modifier. You have to silence him before he activates it, not before he attacks you. He has a few seconds after activation to use the silence on his next attack, so odds are good that you silenced him before his attack, but after his Q was activated.
Its because his Q is an auto attack modifer. If he presses it before you Silence him it means nothing. Its no different with Nasus/Shyvana/Vayne Q.
Have to silence him before he charges at you. Or wait til he hits you then drain him and hope you take more health than he damages.
You didn't stop Garen's Q from being casted, you only prevented him from casting other abilities.
