I Was casually playing a game in gold III. My team was on the verge of winning the game when we all got disconnected from the game and unable to connect for 2 mins, when i get back in the game, all inhib are down and all my mates are in the spawn disconnected. It happened around the 25th minute mark. WTF.
I was in the same game and curiously 3 players immediately ran it down mid the moment we disconnected. I have the replay downloaded if needed for further investigations.
More likely a bug than a drophack.
The hacker would have to somehow get your IP, which he can't get from League of Legends. You are never directly connected to someone else, so no one ever has the chance to get your IP from League.
Though, if you clicked a link or something from anyone during the game, your IP would be visible to the owner of the website it leads to.
I have seen someone post a link to a what appears to be a known website, but a single character may have been swapped and the link actually leads to someones private website. From there, the one who posted the link can obtain the IP of the one who clicked it, thus allowing for drophacks (unless the reciever has some DDoS protection).
Same happened to me last game. all my teammates got disconnected and enemy 2players aswell : (
It is very much possible to obtain an IP from LoL...though determining which IP is which champion would be impossible unless you're extremely good at reading raw data and you can read it while simultaneously playing the game and match the raw data with the champs actions then that can pinpoint whos IP is whos...so most hackers just Dump on all the IPs except their own team. but yes, Drophacks still exist, however most dont use them because it's super easy for riot to determine who it is....the one that didnt DC..or if a player stood still for ~10 seconds immidiately before the attack happened
