Lux ultimate going through me sometimes

Lux's Ultimate went right through me without dodging it as kog'maw during a beginner co-op vs Ai game. I noticed this happened before but i do not remember what champion it was with. I am sure that I was kog'maw one of the times though

(By going through me I mean it doesn't do any damage even if I was standing in the lazer)
