Cassiopeia's W didn't show on the ground once casted

I was playing Yasuo vs a Cassiopeia Toplane yesterday, and throughout the entire game, her W didn't show on the ground, yet i still got dps'd when i walked across the area where she threw it.

It should be mentioned, that i am running in max settings/specs.
