Consistent freezing in party

Within the main screen, League will freeze animations, but sound will continue to play. This occurs ONLY when in a party and will happen anywhere from idling in a party to searching for a match. Once I've accepted a match, it will not happen. I need to use task manager to exit the application, which typically locks up my computer.

So far, I've:

  • Opened all ports to League of Legends
  • Disabled firewall for all of LoL
  • Ran hextech repair with full reinstall and partial fix
  • Reinstalled the game multiple times
  • Disabled overlay within discord and disabled league voice chat
  • Ran as the only application
  • Played with different parties
  • Ran as administrator

Again, this is not an issue when playing solo. My only way around this is to constantly task manager out of League and refire up, hoping to get into a game before it locks up again. I've contacted support multiple times and nobody has a clue what the issue is.

Also having this exact issue. I tried everything you did adding; Disabled the Xbox game bar and made sure all Xbox services were stopped. The only thing I've found to work is have a friend host the lobby, finally get a chance to accept match, wait for your friend to tell you that you're in champ select, then finally force close league through task manager and relog in before getting a dodge.

Edit; just to add, league will also freeze the whole PC on occasion when ending the process in task manager (have to hold down power to shut off pc). It also will cause a black screen in game but sound will play long enough to hear " you have been slain". Thanks riot 💩

Found a fix for now. Before you log into league, click on settings, check low spec mode then initiate full repair. Been working for me so far. For additional info I'm using a Radeon 5700xt, found a couple people having issue with that card and I clean installed all my driver's but the low spec mode was still the only thing that fixed it
