**^ THIS ^ BUMP **
I also experienced this, luckily it was just a casual game of normals on the Summoners Rift. Right after champ select finished and during the loading screen half way in I crashed and a crash dump error appeared and it asked if I wanted to send a copy or whatever, after that It sent me back to the home page client while the game was still in progress and it said **"Sorry! We've detected a problem with your installation. We Will now attempt to repair the affected files" ** After about 5 minutes it fixed itself, and I finally connected.
This happened to my friend 2 days ago for the entire day. He had to send a ticket because it wasn't repairing itself and it just kept crashing at the beginning of the game, I thought it was funny at first since it was happening to a friend but now that I also all of a suddenly experienced the same issue tonight for no reason I'm starting to think somethings wrong with the client.

Same thing happened to me a while ago. I had to reinstall league and it fixed itself.
Note that IT fixed ITSELF. NOT riot.
I was having the same problem stated here throughout all of yesterday, and then before going to sleep I decided to reinstall in hopes of that fixing it, but it just kept doing the same thing. When I tried to login today, I just started getting a black screen on launch, meaning I wasn't even able to login to begin with. After searching how to deal with the black screen issue, I discovered that it may be due to multiple league of legends clients running in the background (how did this happen???). So I open task manager and look at my background process and not only do I find multiple clients running, I find multiple league of legends games running. After deleting all of the background league of legends processes the launcher worked perfectly fine, and I was able to get into games with no problem at all. I know this may be due to riot fixing the issue overnight, but there's also a possibility that removing background LOL process fixed the issue.
TLDR; Open task manager (ctrl+alt+delete) and end any background LOL processes. This is what worked for me and there's no guarantee that it will work for everyone, but I think it's worth a shot doing this.
