Self Mystery Gift
Not working. I bought a Mystery Skin box earlier expecting my Random Mystery Gift and got nothing. This was 4 hours ago. Anyone else? Is there a solution and can we get some feedback from Riot?

I did the same, bought a Mystery Skin expecting a free Random Mystery Gift and got nothing. Reading some other threads similar to this, apparently the way it is supposed to work is by sending a Mystery gift to a friend you unlock a Random Mystery Gift for yourself. Although, the wording on the event does not say this at all, and no comment or update has been made by Riot. I feel like there is a lot of people who are buying themselves Mystery Gifts expecting a free Random Mystery Gift, like the event says.

Have you confirmed you didn't receive anything via your purchase history? I poked Player Support and they said you may have received Sandscourge Skarner.

I had the same issue: I bought a Mystery Skin expecting to receive an additional free Mystery Gift (as the wording of the promo suggests). I opened a ticket with support, and here is the exchange:

The Riot site advertised getting a free bonus reward with the purchase of a self Mystery Gift. I bought a Mystery Skin for myself and did not get an additional reward. Please advise.

I understand your confusion. The announcement that says "send yourself a Mystery Gift and snag a randomly selected un-owned champ, skin, ward, or icon" basically means you don't get another mystery gift but rather you can get a random un-owned content. It can be a champion,a skin,a ward, or an icon.

Apparently "working as intended," but seems a little misleading as my friends also expected an additional reward. 
I wasen't even expecting a free item with a self mystery gift. But now hearing about that and looking at my purchase history, I only got Aether Wing Kayle from the mystery skin box. The poro icon I bought after and the runes right before were purchases I made myself.
