Gangplank not able to buy Ult Upgrades when I jungle

It's come to my attention after two games of playing with Gangplank, I can no longer purchase Cannon upgrades if I wanted to jungle with him. I'm just reporting this and hopefully I'm not the only one experiencing this problem? Or if this is intentional, I'll remove it promptly.

I know you can't buy the ult upgrade until you have 500 dubloons or whatever his coins are. By the time you have finished a game you dont have enough....at least I havn't.
