Game goes to Black Screen following champ select

As the title says, after champ select finishes the game goes to a black screen and doesn't load anything. I have to force quit out just to get back to the client. Reconnecting does nothing, I've tried repairing the client that does nothing. OS is fully updated. Happens in every mode, from normals to customs to spectate. Started happening late yesterday evening considering I did a custom game earlier the same day and it worked fine. I'm playing on a Macbook Pro with El Capitan. Been troubleshooting with suggestions I've seen but nothing is working. Wondering what I need to do so I can play again
