Half Black Screen After Champ Select

Hi!!

I just wanted to play a normal game of League and everything was fine before. The last game I played was last evening. I didn't download anything or changed something in my computer. But now when I'm going into the loading screen the top half is black, and everything seems to be placed down. This continues when the game starts... So it's unplayable now cause my screen is half black. Does anyone know what to do against this problem? I'm playing on a Macbook with OSX El Capitan (10.11.6)

Exact same problem.... any fix? This is awful, I just played last night. There was some update today when I opened up the client and now the entire screen seems to be shifted down with a black bar covering the top 40% of the screen.

I am also running on a Mac but I'm OS X Yosemite

Same. El Capitan Mac... everything fine until after champion select in load screen and in-game. Also when trying spectate game, same would happen.

I have 2 solutions. The first solution is to buy an external screen and connect it to your mac and the game will run well on the screen (note: you will see that the game on your computer screen will freeze ones it has started. This is completely normal and it will run fine on the external screen). The second way is to put you game in windowed mode. You do this by going into settings and into video. Ones there choose a resolution that fits on your screen and choose windowed mode. Press on okay down at the button. You cant see it so you will have to guess a bit but it is really important to press okay. (VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: your screen is down at the bottom but you mouse thinks that it is in the same place as usual. What you have to do is hover your mouse higher than the buttons you want to press and ones the button highlights you can press on it. Look on the internet for the settings screen to see where the okay button is). I hoped this has helped you. If you need more help. Ask me anything! Im glad to help
