PVP.net Patcher Kernel isn't working anymore. (Error message)

I keep getting the same error message when I try to load the client: PVP.net Patcher Kernel isn't working anymore. I noticed that quite a few people are unable to get the client to work. What is the best thing I could do? I wanted to redownload the game, but a friend of mine said not to do that as it may not download. Any suggestions?
