Red Kayn not getting health from passive and Ultimate

I was playing a whole game as Red Kayn and everytime I would ult a full tank Nasus, I wouldn't get my health back from his max health. Has anyone else had this problem. It happened throughout the whole game no matter who I ult and no matter who I hit with my abilities to proc my passive.
