Kalista Ult and Item Bug

So I just played a game as kalista, when I tried to use kalista's item to bind my support, it didnt work. I used it then nothing happens, just the noise no animations. Then the item went into 6 secs cooldown. By the time I hit lvl 6 and ulted my support, my support said he cant click anywhere to land the ult. After trying to ult him several times, he said he was unable to move, his champion just followed me around for a minute.
