Client Patch 5.5 on 83% and 271 Mb/0 Kbs

Im having the same problem but ive have this 99% screen on for the last 24+ hours and its still not done dowloading it still says 271ms (0kbps)

I'm having the same problem. 271MB stuck at 82% Dont say it's not a bug. If it's taking so long, it's a bug. League client gives me the worst experience in my entire life of gaming. It is so poor.

Right now we're at patch 5.6, I've been trying to reinstall league since 5.5, and still, I have the exact same problem. Mine stopped at 85% with 271 megabytes left to download the update. I don't understand, it was literally downloading at over 1000 kb/s, then as I expected later (since this always freaking happens), at 85% with 271 megabytes left, instantly the download speed just falls to 0 kb/s and I'm just left hanging there. -_-

RIOT HELP!!! :(

I have the same issue, the patcher downloads until 271 mb and stops. Then it goes from 87% to 99% and stops again. I've reinstalled the game like 10 times and i got the same problem every time. Tried to delete some files that could cause the problem but nothing worked. I hope Riot will do something about it soon because it's really irritating.

Ps.: I'm trying to install LoL on a Mac.

Ok, if you're curious as to why your download is stopping and instead its updating the percentile. hear this:

In order for files to be efficiently downloaded and processed, your connection has to be halted so changes onto the SSD/HDD of yours can be done without additional info being downloaded in. When your download stops, that's basically your client updating files and re-writing files from what it downloaded. By redownloading/reinstalling the game you actually hinder this process because it makes the client think your download was corrupted, so it'll sift through ALL your league files. All 2000+ files, mind you, vs the 140-150 it usually modifies in each patch.

TL:DR Let it run. That's just it modifying and processing files it just downloaded. Nothing biggy, its just how quantity downloads work.

This seems to be a kinda common thing, but not large enough to investigate? I have tried all of the fixes, but they don't seem to be fixing it. Got myself up to 82% but still at 271mb left and no activity seems to be coming from my HD, it's just sitting there.

Same problem here, i suppose leaving it run for 24 hours straight would be the only way to help?

I had the same problem, with the patch stopping at 82 % and 271 mb remaining. But after a while it worked again (10-15 min). I hope it'll work for you all too.

Youre not alone because me and a lot of other people have been having the same issue at 271 mb. Hopefully Riot will save us with an answer at some point, but doubtful it will be anytime soon

Try....almost done 99% 20000+ applied patches and still counting...It's more than 2000+ files.

Same problem Mine gets to around 50% and says 271mb and 0kbps then gets to 64% and completely stops doing anything

I've got 43% at 271mb / 0 KBps.. for the past 5 days, i've gone through Riot's entire knowledge base and attempted every "known fix", none of which have worked - I have since contacted Riot, who in turn have sent a standard text of "try our knowledge base" which I had stated I've gone through. Have sent my Patcher Logs & Kernel logs to them, just awaiting their reply now - but after every possible fix, it's still hitting that point and not moving (had actually left the patcher for 27 hours at one point, of which it hasn't shifted)

#Pray4Riot - seems this "fix" is the last of their worries, considering there is still a large amount of people that have managed to successfully patch and play. Sort of feels like they don't actually care right now. which blows. fixxy fix pls.
