Vi ult vs Azir ult

This topic keeps showing up every few months, but does anyone know if it is fixed yet? I just played a game as Vi vs Azir. Ulted Azir and he ulted me back. I just kept bouncing off his wall still channeling my ult. Couldn't move for 5-6 sec. Is this how this interaction is supposed to work? I don't have video :(
