[GamePlay] Rek Sai appearing at tunnels that had already been destroyed

I was spectating a couple of game with Rek Sai in the jungle. She had already used ulti and it was on cooldown. The defending team was down to inhib turrets and had just won a team fight. They went out into the area and had begun removing Rek Sai's tunnels near their base while adding wards. The defending team cleared two tunnels simultaneously. While the clearing the jungle of tunnels they also placed wards. They didn't place a ward near their wall or they might have seen the unusual thing I noticed. Rek Sai showed up at a cleared tunnel next to the bot lane wall., when I say cleared I mean it had been destroyed and Rek Sai popped up about 3 seconds after. They had 2 players on each tunnel so I was confused as to how she could have gone into the tunnel. The defending team knew the ulti was down (no scream). So they did not expect Rek Sai to be behind them. Some members went back into the base the rest continued placing wards. They noticed the enemy team was back up and they began making their way back to their base. Having no knowledge that Rek Sai was right next to their base the squishies were ambushed. This led to a team fight where the defending team was caught completely off guard. There were no other nearby tunnels to their bot lane inhibitor on the spectating map. The defending team had been thorough and gone through the bot lane jungle removing tunnels. The nearest tunnel was on the other side of the jungle. (I know the defending team didn't know this but to me it is important to note).

The teamfight that came after the ambush cost the defending team the game (this was a ranked game). As I wasn't privy to the discussion, I am guessing they assumed they missed a tunnel. I admit, not knowing Rek Sai I thought that was a bit "cheaty" so I talked to some other players who do play her. They informed me that's not supposed to happen. I assumed it might have been a one time thing . After seeing it happen again in another game I was spectating I'm considering tracking down a program to record games so I can see how common this is. I thought I'd bring it to your attention because I've seen it in 2 ranked games thus far. I'm pretty sure this isn't what was intended. So hopefully you can figure out how it's happening. The only commonality I've seen is that the tunnels are destroyed simultaneously.
