Asking to reconnect to game that ended 2 hours ago

I was in a game that took place and ended as the server issues arose. Once I was able to reconnect to the client it asked me to reconnect to the game claiming I left it in progress. Upon trying to reconnect i get a message saying "unable to connect to the server". I cannot do anything in client and cannot undo it, how do I fix this?
