CHAMPION SELECT DOESN'T APPEAR?

I am not sure if this only happens to my friends and I , but recently when we go to start games and we hit accept , the champion select doesn't appear but you can hear all the sounds in the background. This has proved to be really annoying considering when you don't choose a champion , you get kicked out of queue and you're banned for a given time. ( or in worst cases you lose LP when ' leaving ' a ranked. ) I have been banned multiple times , lost lp , and have been tagged multiple times as a ' leaver ' because of this issue. I think it may be time to contact riot about this but wanted to see if this is only happening to us. :(
