This game is like what, 50%, timing? I was gone for a couple weeks and have taken my specs down two more notches but, alas, my gpu was not to blame; I don't think Riot yet realizes how bad it is so I am hoping the google web crawler gets this a lot of comments, i.e. if you've experienced so much lag you're expecting a news story: this is it.

Let riot know if you're experiencing lag in Mar of 2018 by posting, cordially, below :)

Have been having the exact same issue but mine is a spike from 79 ping steady to anywhere from 83-102, never any higher. I pinged my ip, checked packet loss via multiple other methods, and there is absolutely none.

I have never had this issue with league of legends in over 7 years of playing, from different locations. I can currently play Fortnite, Overwatch, Battlerite, and any single other game I have tried with 100% steady ping.

I forwarded all ports for league of legends, and even attempted setting my router firewall to dmz mode via router settings. I have tried every single league of legends connection troubleshooting that riot suggests. I reset my WINDOWS to factory settings and reinstalled the game. Literally nothing fixes it. Riot employees will respond to these plethoras of posts that have been popping up (and getting deleted by mods on Reddit, by the way. Two of my own in the past day) and say the issue is on our end.

It is not. It is 100% them forcing us to connect to voice chat server that is separate from or not exactly the same as the typical league server. This can be proven when you disable voice chat in the settings in the client, then go into game with friends in a lobby. If you press M whilst in game, you can still connect to voice chat EVEN though you attempted to disable it via client settings. This means you are forcibly being connected to something, although I'm not quite sure what.

The fact that these lag issues happen even in custom games furthers the point that this arguably useless addition of voice chat (discord is there for people partying up as well as many other options. This is not and will not be enabled for solo queue so why?) is causing network issues. And riot just has no response for us anywhere. For the first time in 7 years I guess I'll just quit league, because this is unplayable and seems malicious.

EDIT: some people keep saying this is a spectrum issue and they are wrong. I have at&t, so this isn't an isp issue just throwing this out there.

It is honestly insane that there have been over 20 posts with similar stories, as well as a plethora of comments, and riot is simply REFUSING to answer them. I see red responses here all the time that happen far swifter than this for far less complicated answers. Shame on you frankly riot. Shame.

NA servers have had issues for a while. After 8.6 it only heightened. My ping is fine but randomly there is a delay between clicks and champ. Life and death things too for simple skill shot dodging. Please please fix this Riot!

I have had the exact same issue, my ping has shot from a steady 60 to a steady 100 lol. I have checked every other possible issue that it possible could be and have found no cause for the issue. I have reported the bug multiple times and nothing. Other games like Fortnite and overwatch work just fine. I wish riot would at least send feedback of some kind considering it’s not just me who has had these issues but every one of my friends who plays the game as well.

I am not sure if this is the right place, but after the update my game is sooo choppy, even in the menu.. its unplayable right now

I too am on a clean install of windows 7 with all the updats and .NET (does LoL use, I forget?) packages because I wiped the comp for an update to Visual Studios: everyone is mentioning the voice chat and it does definitely seem like I am competing for bandwidth with another connection; like you I have removed all hardware issues and find the game unplayable at this point. Also like you, just a few weeks ago I could stream video while playing LoL and not notice any spikes as bad as what has been consistent over the past few days- thanks for sharing and let's hope a wall of posts convinces them this is

URGENT!!

I usually float around the 47ms mark but it spikes up between 250 and 750 randomly like every 5-10 seconds. I can't continue playing this game because of it. I don't encounter this problem on any other game. I've been sitting here in cmdprompt running a continuous ping check with 8ms being the highest... until I start running LoL, then I seen 500+ms. fix your shit Riot. Otherwise more people will go play Fortnite... I'm downloading it now....

im a mac user, have tested my internet and i have 20+ mbps and yet i'll be playing and my ping will range from 49-984. its been like this for atleast 24 hours. its really impossible to play a game when everytime you go in, it freezes every second :/

i hadn't played it in 2 weeks and as soon as i get back its this shit, cmon

This is stupid. APRIL 5 and my client is laggy as hell since i start it, my ping used to be around 89 ms, and now it is 110 - 120 ms adding the stupid CONSTANT LAG , Yes i reinstalled yesterday so this client lag is happenng after a new installation of League, I also used CCleaner to clear registry entries and still the same. im on EU W server

Have been having the same issue...west coaster person here so and have been playing a little before the server move...before server move I was at around 30 ping after server move it shot to 50 which was understandable...but after sooo any of these patches my ping has just steadily rose from that standard 60 to a standard 100..I am starting to avoid the game completely because its just to the almost unplayable state of lag issues...

Thought it was a bunch of bugs or viruses on my PC a while ago so I factory reset my comp. and no improvements were made whatsoever...read a bunch of "fixes" people "found" here and tried various ones none helped...and the further the patches go the worse the ping seems to get..

Ive been having problems with lag for the past couple weeks. Ive tried multiple different wifis, restarting routers, restarting my computer, lowering graphics, etc. Nothing helps. I usually play with 60-80 ping, but now I will get spikes from 200-500 every 30/45 second-2 minutes. Its frankly very annoying

Agent RedKetchup4/1/2018, 6:45:40 PM2 votes

I had similar problems since 8.6: I have usually a ping of 40 and now it gets spikes of over 1200. I was in a good climbing elo run so I dropped playing ranked until it would getting better. Now it is so annoying that playing normals is not even fun anymore so yeah, maybe i should consider putting hashtags just to get Riot's attention.

So... here's below

#Sellingaccount #howtoselllolaccount #hashtag #lolhacks #lolscripts #Lolporn #tonsofbugs #whyleaguewhy #noticemesenpai #graveswithacigargun #rivenandjaxrule34

Voilà

ok but why did you title it like a weird clickbait article

Teemologist3/26/2018, 5:16:12 AM2 votes

My ping used to be around 70. Ever since 8.6, it fluctuates from 80 up to 100+.

sssfinxxx12/13/2018, 8:31:42 AM1 votes

my games literally freeze, yes the ms remains the same

Forsaken66664/2/2018, 6:32:33 PM1 votes

Jeez for the past 2 months i have had lag issues with lol.. my FPS will just spike in the middle of a fight 200-5000 fps. My internet isnt BAD i HAVE 100 MB DOWN AND 35 MB UP. It at the point where i think i will stop playing. If we cant find a fix.

10/10. I've had the issue for a week now. Posted a video of the issue a couple days ago and no inquires yet. The game is actually unplayable and I just want to play the damn game. There was a post about the 8.6 FPS issue at 3 am the day of the patch but it is gone now (from what I can tell) and not a word has been said yet. It wouldn't be so frustrating if I didn't see countless posts about the issue and not even a mention of it in the little service exclamation point in the client or anything!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4chSNMyFCDA - Heres a better video of how it looks on my end. And yes - the game plays exactly like that even when I am not recording or anything. Its super weird.

Same fucking problem. Not even once have I ever experienced latency problems at playing LoL in the past 6 years. Now it seems pretty chronic.

Good job, Riot. Left once because of terrible matchmaking, now leaving again before I even started due to terrible latency.

I WONDER WHY PEOPLE ARE LEAVING THIS GAME

DarkShadow165/2/2018, 7:30:32 AM1 votes

Also been having ping issues. Wifi is fine though and it's only been happening since patch 8.6.. I'd have a constant 90 then all of a sudden every 5 seconds it jumps to 300+

Makes games so frustrating

eXtreemo5/18/2018, 5:54:00 PM1 votes

I have the same problem. Last month I experienced and proceed to do so a little lags every few minutes every game. At first it was only on Summoner Rift now it's in every mode. Those lags are like I'm losing connection for 0.5 seconds, but my ms or ping don't change at all. I wrote about it and had a LONG TICKET talk which now isn't resolved after a week of struggle. Support tells me that it's my connection problem, but I didn't have such problem before with the same provider. And I don't experience any lags in any other online game. I had a talk with support of my provider also and they assured that my connection is alright. And I don't know what to think. Some twitch players I'm watching also experiencing micro lagging in games in different servers (EUW, RU). ANd it started a month ago after some big patch of Ritos.

My ping went for 19-23ms to a constant ping of 89ms

Poonslayer1456/29/2018, 3:27:48 PM1 votes

I have never had any real issues with ping spikes and latency issues in other games, league seems to be the only game i get CONSISTANT spikes with. my normal ms is around 39-42. but il get spikes from 90-250, and its not just random either. 8 times out of 10 its when im engaging or being engaged on and its fucking ridiculous. Ill often get 15-20 major spikes EVERY game. unacceptable. not only this, half the time I disconnect for about 3-8 seconds with my ping stuck on either 250-500ms. Now for a while i believed it to be an internet issue, but since doing many, many tests and playing other games ive come to realise this issue is solely with league. This makes it literally impossible to play ranked, because it makes half the game a fucking luck of the draw. This never used to happen about 6-12 months ago, but since riot has been making many large overhauls, (the major client update being when i noticed the ping issue getting worse) idk what the fuck is going on but i know other people have been experiencing this too and it seems to be prominent in oce over other servers. Riot for the love of your slowly decaying playerbase fix your unplayable fucking latency issues and increase the stress threshold of your servers.item 3070 item 3073
