just look at my last game as ryze, i had over 40% spell vamp when i ulted, and 0.0k healing done. not to mention every other spell flux didnt bounce to more than one or 2 targets. ryze got dumped on crumpled up and spit out.
I came across the same issue. I had spell vamp from runes/masteries as well as his ult, and no healing done at the end of the match nor did i notice myself getting any health back with any spells. overall the whole match was completely underwhelming, never playing ryze again. The "rework" was in the form of a nerfbat the size of a skyscraper being dropped from orbit right onto his face.
