Ping Keeps Increasing Every Patch
What happened? The servers didn't move back to the West Coast right?
A month ago I had around 18ms Ping on average.
The past month that has increased to around 45ms. Not great considering what I used to have, but manageable.
Now as of the most recent patch, I get on average 101ms ping.
Seriously what happened? I have done everything in gods name to fix it. I updated my drivers. I ran Riots utility. I turned off, then turned back on my router, and my ONT.
To give some specifics, I live in Cincinnati Ohio so pretty close to Chicago or wherever the servers are stored.
I have Cincinnati Bell Fioptics True Fiber. So I get 750mbps Down, and 200mbps Up. I shouldn't have any problems on that end.
Can any Rioters help me with this? I've ran a ping test using the command prompt, which used to net me 18 ping. Now it's sitting at 93 on average, but still goes through only 4 routes as far as I can tell.
Thanks!
Edit:It seems to be routing me through Los Angelos? Did the servers really move to LA again? Visual TraceRoute, my IP's score has gone down over the past 30 days using your tool, and seems to have picked up some ping
I just contacted my ISP to make sure it wasn't how it was routed on their end, and one of their network supervisors called me. They said that they have gotten an influx of calls from their customers about league of legends and the increase in Ping, and apparently it has to do with the recent patch on Riots end. They said that they have looked at things on their end, and it has to do with how the server is responding once it reach's riots servers. Please if a Red Post could respond and help me that would be greatly appreciated. My friends who have spectrum up in Columbus and Akron are not experiencing these problems.
