Issue with clubs

When I installed the new client I did not see the club I created with friends on my profile page. Stupidly thinking that clubs were reset or something for the new season I went ahead and created a new club. Once all my friends updated their client they told me that they still have the old club listed for them as well as the new club. Since I was club owner and I don't think anyone had permissions to invite, either I was kicked out somehow or there was a mistake and I can no longer see my old club after the new UI. It doesn't seem like anyone can invite people either since I was the only one. Anyone got this same issue before or this just a sick joke from my friends?
