Accounts bugged with getting chat restriction

So I recently made a smurf and it recieved some games chat restriction, after I completed them I was able to play a game without restriction, immediately after that game it was hit with another chat restriction. This occured 4 times in a row, so I decided to do a test. I played a game with friends and asked them ONE of them to report me with negative attitude despite not saying anything in the game, and sure enough it was hit with another 15 game chat restriction. So is there something we can do about this? The fact that anyone can report you without good reasoning and make you suffer through chat restrictions. Hope to hear if anyone else has the same occurance atm.

It's an account health thing and a "you're consistently toxic" thing.

You are reevaluated and extra time is added if you didn't appear to change. There are two things you can do about this;

  • Stop saying things that could get you reported
  • Submit a Support Ticket to have your chat logs reviewed if you think the restriction was in error (it probably wasn't)

Yeah, I think because it was reported early on its going to be next to impossible to get it off chat restrictions. I can just see how this would be frustrating for a new player. I'll probably end up just making another smurf. My main never gets chat restrictions and I act the same on both.

The idea of having a "toxic mmr" is a little silly though, for people that change what they say only to never get to have a clean slate.

The entire report system is toxic and abused. I have seen significantly more "false" reports than legitimate ones, and there should always be a review before punishing a player. There should NEVER be a player driven automated punishment system. Period.

People report for things like:

  1. you said their champion was bad in champ select or made a comment about needing a certain type of champ for the team comp and they didn't want to play that.
  2. you want to/don't want to FF and they want the opposite
  3. you ask them to play safer because they are feeding

I could go on, but I've been reported for the dumbest things and it's most often by people who spent the entire game being toxic and offensive and then reported for "verbal abuse" when you ask them to stop whatever they are doing and mention they are being toxic.

"I'm not toxic, that's verbal abuse you faggot and I'm reporting you"

....riiigghht. Tell me again why I should be chat restricted and I never use personal insults, don't call people out or use deragatory language. I never troll, never quit, never intentionally feed, never rage. The worst I do is get frustrated when people won't group and say things like:

"Come on guys, we just need to group and end" and "GROUP NOW PLEASE".

So toxic...

Hi, I support your thread and I encourage you to write a formal complaint here :

https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=4584

I would recommend the category Games & Features / Feedback

Feel free to take inspiration from my complaint :

"I'm honestly getting tired of how ridiculously easy you guys are throwing games restrictions around. LoL is supposed to be an E-sports, and sports in general are meant to be competitive. With that being said It infuriates me that I'm restricted for taunting my opponents. Do you think the sport of boxing would be the same if it weren't for the fighters ego, their self belief and the occasional taunting of the opponents ? It would be understandable if I were throwing around racial slurs or afking during games, but all that I'm doing is taunting my opponent in the spirit of competition. Should I be punished because my opponents feel angry after losing ? You should really make it harder to report people, so if something actually bothers them they'll take the time to go online and write a formal complaint. Pressing a button after the game is over is just too simple. Whenever the players lose, they just click the button and all of a sudden they feel better because they feel some sort of justification. Please for the sake of competitive E-sports, fix the system. "

Let's try and get some change going :)
