Bug with "New Champion select"

Okay is it me or is the new champion select an annoyance. I am gonna keep this very simple. If i'm in champion select and its not my turn to pick I will do other things on my computer. Before the new champion select I was able to do what ever and when its my turn to pick ban what ever my client would pop up and tell me that. NOW it doesn't even do that, so many dodges and inconveniencing other people and myself. Can a riot employee PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD fix this issue.
