[gameplay] fizz's ult can't be qss'd anymore

So i noticed it during a ranked game, where i popped qss then flashed, but fish followed me. tried it out in a 1v1 and confirmed it. i didn't see anything in patch notes stating his ult is un-qss-able so figured it was a bug P.S. if you want to reproduce this: step 1. get fizz to lvl 6 step 2. get someone on the other team to buy a qss (pretty difficult, so gl). step 3. have fizz ult someone (also pretty difficult because it's a skill shot), took 2 tries with me standing still. step 4. once the fish is attached, have ulted person activate qss. step 5. watch him die

so far this happened 2/2 times. not gonna waste anymore time with it since i can just get bv. but having to get bv over scimitar is pretty suck when you have to carry

It's probably just a coding error that never got discovered in PBE. Like how the new code for fizz allows him to urchin dash out of playful trickster.

Those are point and click ults. Along with them suppressing their opponent, fizz is different in the "channel" for his ult isnt anything more than a slow, plus it is a skillshot. but you are probably able to negate that with qss. So if a fizz hits you with his ult you deserve to take the damage from it. Otherwise it would just be unfair to fizz players.

QSS has always only removed the slow, not the ult itself.

QSS only removes the ult from yourself and puts it on the ground, that's how it has always been with Fizz.

Well they mentioned somewhere in the patch notes about being consistent with the nerfs, so they better dam well allow qss to remove the debuff from fizz's ult if they are fine with it removing the debuff from zed/vlad's ult

This is assuming you are right about this ofc I need to test this myself, cause I'm p sure even when you qss fizz's ult, it only drops the fish to the ground..you still have to move away from it.

Its always done this. It removes debuffs. The tether is a debuff that knocks you up and deals damage at the end of the duration. It also removes death mark and Mordes ulti. It however does not remove things like Cait's ulti.

It could be a result of Fizz being ulti reliant now. It would make him useless if you were able to qss his ult. So they may have removed to in order to keep him semi relevant. Just an idea tho.

So i tested it some more with another friend, qss cleanses the debuff and the slow from the ult, but doesn't drop the fish, knocking you up and slowing you after it goes off. I still don't see anything in the patch notes or tooltip saying it should work like this, but we tested it a good 10 times in the same game and it worked like that each time

This is a funny day. I learn that QSS will remove Fizz's ultimate from him, and later on (which is now) I learn that there's a bug that prevents you from QSSing the fish.

I read in two places on the wiki that QSS should in fact remove the slow and drop the fish to the ground at its current location. If it does not anymore, then it's a bug which must be fixed at once.

Maybe rito realized that Fizz would be useless if QSS removed the damage amplification debuff, and accidentally coded it so that QSS didn't drop the fish either.

While I think the fish should be dropped with QSS, I don't think QSS should remove the damage amplification debuff. Fizz took a significant hit to his base damages which are made up for with the debuff. Without it, he cannot kill anyone unless he is insanely fed, or they stick around long enough for Fizz to unload a second rotation of spells.

Idk, I feel like he kind of needs this anyway otherwise QSS will make him pretty bad. They encouraged healthy Fizz play by having him be required to land his ultimate if he wants to make full use of his abilities on a target instead of just pressing Q. He should be rewarded for it. After all they nerfed him pretty hard in his other areas to give him the 20% bonus.
