Attack Move on Cursor Occasionally doesn't work as Intended

Fairly often I will randomly auto a minion or objective rather than the enemy champion I could swear I was targeting. This appears to be a very obvious example of one such scenario. According to my understanding this is not how this mechanic is intended to function. Please either correct my misunderstanding of attack move on cursor or fix this as it occasionally loses me fights I would have otherwise won.
