Low FPS on High End PC

I know there are a few threads on this but nothing works. My Specs: gtx 1080 i7-8700k 16gb ddr4 ram

I usually get around 100-80 fps ingame which feel like a lot worse than 40 and sometimes it drops to 50-70. Please dont suggest me the frame skipping article because capping my fps to 60 just makes it alot worse and i never used movement prediction. The Task Manager shows that my GPU and CPU run on 10-20% workload and League is getting 1,7gb Ram. In some rare occasions i have 300-400 fps but then after a short time its back to "normal". Im actually really annoyed that I paid a lot of money just to buy a PC on which LoL runs worse than on my laptop so if anyone gives me a working solution for this problem i will give him 10 bucks on paypal

Windows 10 assuming, make sure you manually run the updater. Windows doesn't tend to grab your latest graphics driver, neither do manufacturer updating software like dells updating service. Manually go to Nivida's site and download latest driver. Make sure you disable as many useless background apps, windows cloud service, anything that isn't gaming related. Uninstalling bloat apps to cancel them out. Make sure after you've changed anything, give your computer a reboot to ensure its fully ended or removed unwanted programs from starting up.

One thing I recommend sometimes is to do a https://www.userbenchmark.com/ this website will compare your hardware's effiencey to other users and can even point out possible problems with configuration.

Lastly, if none of the above is working, try to google people with the same exact hardware with the same issue. I've had some pretty bizarre problems in the past, one where I had to changes a bios setting specific to my old motherboard with a particular video card. If you can't find anything similar. Do a full system reinstall, brand new clean partitions. Windows 10 install not a backup or repair. Installing only the essentials to play league, with update drivers.

Have you checked that you've got Windows in High Performance instead of Power Saver mode?
