When trying to join a matchmade ARAM, the champion select screen was completely black. I didn't hear any sounds or music, waited over 3 minutes and it just stayed black. I closed the client and logged back in, and I had a dodge penalty.
How to reproduce
Frequency: once.
Note: I am using Windows 10 Technical Preview. However, I played several games yesterday without issue.
Something incredibly similar happened to me, but in a ranked lobby.
A ranked game (my first promo match) was found and I accepted, everyone accepted, then something like "loading data from servers" or something popped up. after a few seconds cancel button popped up which I clicked 45 seconds later. The box with that message closed but the client was still black. I closed the client without any message warning me about leaving a ranked lobby, then logged back in to see that I had 97 LP and got into a ranked lobby just fine, lost 1 game and it told me I lost my series.
If I'm not mistaken, this problem has been around for a while, Riot only ever being able to reduce it's frequency and not being able to stop it all together.
