Just finished playing a 1v1 as Karma vs. Master Yi. When casting Focused Resolve (W tether) on Yi, if he casts alpha strike the result on the W was inconsistent.
My understanding is that the tether should persist, which it does sometimes. Most other times it would fail and refund the CD, a couple of times it would fail and go on CD.
Whether it persists or not doesn't really matter, but shouldn't it be the same every time?
Focused Resolve has both initial damage (and heal with R) and secondary root, damage (and heal with R). My guess is that if he alpha strikes right before the initial damage, it is refunded; if he alpha strikes right after getting hit and comes out of alpha strike before the second effect, it takes place as normal, and when he alpha strikes at just the right time, he gets to dodge the secondary effect. Did you by any chance notice whether it made a difference when you had empowered it with Mantra (R)?
