Giving me a loss for others dodging

I was 1-1 in a series, next game determined ranking up. I queued up, other people failed to accept again and again and it kept re-queuing, this happened 4 times in a row so finally i declined the 5th queue. I wish I had screenshotted the message but I was so confused I just hit "Okay" too quickly. The message said something along the lines of "you have failed your series due to inactivity". Now sure, I declined a queue after other people declined 4 times in a row and I decided I just wanted to go to bed instead. But that has never counted as a loss before which leads me to believe I have encounter a bug. Someone please help....
