7.6 Spectating Bug

Okay so with the arrival of patch 7.6 it now closes the client in the background while spectating so when you try to /w someone it says I am not connected to pvpnet and have to close spectate to message someone and get the client back also this causes issues of friends telling me when their game is done because while I'm spectating im apparently offline?
