Getting kicked from champion select and losing LP

I am trying really hard to get to gold this season and twice today I have been randomly kicked from champ select and I have lost around 20 points in total now because of this and I am getting locked out for 30 min each time. I am not getting disconnected, just dropped from champ select and taken to home screen. Is anybody else having this problem?
