Completely broken, no cursor ingame

played a few games today, everything was going well until i loaded into another game and had no mouse cursor ingame. i changed no settings in the client or ingame, i just had no cursor. i tried EVERYTHING that was already suggested: no mouse trails (i never had them on), no mouse shadow, unchecked hide mouse while typing, running the client in compatibility mode, i have no overlays from discord steam etc. on. there are no other programs running that interact with the cursor and there was no change between the games i had one and the game where it suddenly disappeared. i tried reinstalling the game and the problem persists.

i've tried setting all options to default anyway and still no mouse cursor. when i load into a game the cursor appears for a few seconds but then disappears. i've tried to repair the game, still nothing. i've reinstalled. nothing.

again, i've tried all the standard troubleshooting stuff. if this was driver related i would have never had a cursor to begin with, but i've been playing games all day and only suddenly, with no changes to my PC or the ingame settings, lost my cursor.

one thing i notice is that the cursor is there at the loading screen in the beginning but every single time the loading bar hits 40% it vanishes.

i did a full clean reinstall using the Hextech tool and the problem persists.
