Ranked Series Reset [GAMEPLAY/CLIENT?]

I wish I had some kind of screenshots to back me up, but I have kind of a weird issue. I started my 5game series yesterday, and today I played the 5th game(3rd win), which should have resulted in a promotion. Instead, the popup told me that I have begun my series. Anyone else experience something similar?

Or I'm crazy ;-;
