Champ/ban select stuck at zero

This ALWAYS seems to only happen when I have Youtube open (a song could be fully downloaded or not in terms of the time bar, doesn't matter). Usually I'm alt-tabbing back to my internet browser to check some stuff, and I wait till I hear the sound of my turn to ban or pick.

Usually we're in the ban phase and someone's ban is stuck on zero and then about a minute later I'm kicked out of match.

I've ran into this more than a year ago and I'm shocked this is still around. Just awful. I have 120 down/20 up and I'm visibly browsing the web while this happens.

Then, I found out I lost a game in my promo series because of this.

If I'm browsing the web just fine during this WHOLE time period, why is League acting as if there is no internet connection?

I'm not the only one who runs into this all the time.

nah happens to me also even when nothing else is up mostly happens on the new league client and i just avoid it because too many problems for this old laptop

Just want to update that it happened AGAIN! I had nothing downloading and wasn't even browsing the web!

I was looking at champ select and I am chatting with my team EVEN AS THE ENEMY'S LAST BAN TICKED DOWN TO ZERO!

That's right, I was seeing people's comments and my comments were seen by them in the last 5 seconds of the enemy's ban. Reality of it is that the enemy banned a long time ago and it was my turn but the client never switched to me.

Edit: I've lost how many promo series because of this AND add in this stupid LP system still puts you at 99 LP instead of 100 after your win is RIDICULOUS!
