After the latest patch while loading in to the game my gold border is now silver, and in the profile page when you hover over ranked it says my highest rank last year was silver, not gold. Yet I still have my lobby golden flag border, and gold summoner icon armor.
Strange to say the least. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is this just a bug or is it something odd they've implemented?

It has to be a bug as my highest rank last season was gold as well and as of this patch i have the same happening to me. This is a bug of this new patch which is probably has something to do with the restructure of the ranks but none the less the highest ranked last season should still say gold for those that were gold.
I've just made a post about this. Mines saying that I got to silver 3 when I got G5 a month before the end of season. I hope it gets reverted.
I'm running into the same problem, It still says I am gold 3 but says my highest ranked from last season was Silver 1, as well I still have all the rewards.
Having the same issue. Gold for 2 seasons but my border turned silver and my profile saids that my last season's rank was silver 3...
I was Diamond 4 and now it says i ended at gold 1 instead of diamond 4 wtf!
Bump...same issue. Finished Gold V last season, but the client says I ended Silver III and gives me a silver border now after the last patch. Was fine before the patch and had a gold border.
Same issue here. I was Gold 3 Flex and Plat 5 Soloqueue, but loading screens for normal games and my profile show last season's rank as Gold 3. Really glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue.
I'm sure Riot's aware and looking into it if enough of us have the issue.
4 days later and this is still an issue. im plat 4 with a silver loading screen border.. season 8 i was plat and season 7 i was gold...why would i ever have a silver border.. Riot halp us

So apparently it's fixed for some queues. Seems like it's still bugged for blind pick.
Happening to me as well. I have a gold border when it should be diamond, and when I hover over the thing it says last season was gold 2.
Same here was plat 4 and now G 4? Border when loading is also become gold instead of plat :S

Happens to me to and to some friends I looked at, however I have seen people without this problem on their ranks for some reason.
It shows the the 2nd highest rank achieved for some reason. So if ur highest rank was in solo q it shows ur flex rank. Dont know how they messed that up..

I like how the guy asks about solutions and everyone is writing "me too me too" apparently it's with everyone and as I noticed it shows your flex rank for me, I don't know about you guys. I finished gold 4 last season (season 8) in solo/duo and on flex I finished silver one. It gave me all the rewards for gold as well as the skin but it shows on loading screen my flex ranked banner. Can please a riot member answer what's going on or at least fix this?
