Stormrazor unique passive completely non-functional on Ashe.

Outside of actually forcing the attack to be a crit to trigger any crit related effects Storm's Edge has no damage effect on Ashe due to being overridden by her passive.

While I do agree that this seems to be game mechanics working as intended and potentially not really a bug. I do think that forcing it to override her passive in cases where Storm's Edge would do more damage than a passive based crit or even in cases where the target is not chilled would make more sense (and would stop the item from being dead on her, although would still be an unlikely item choice).

Then I guess you just don't buy the item on Ashe. Feels weird that she's kinda left out, but hey, not every item is suited for everyone!

It’s because the attack itself gains a 100% crit chance, but Ashe doesn’t. And since Ashe can’t crit, it ends up in a limbo.

I don't think Stormrazor absolutely needs to be functional on Ashe. Ashe is a crit building champion, so I don't think Storm Razor is meant for them.

Well I could see how a non crit build with Stormrazor could work on her, assuming it actually worked. It would give her the enchanced slow every once in a while and let her kite insanely well.

I agree with exerandomizer. i would also add, that the movement speed effect from stormrazor would also benefit ashe quite nicely

It is just not a good item on her and, as you mention, it is working as intended. You don't want to rely on the item's passive to kite because you already have a built in slow on autos. You also want to be constantly auto attacking for your Q.

There's no requirement to make every item decent for every champion. Simply put, there are items that are suboptimal to use on certain champions even though they work great on others. And that's completely fine.

Well it's not about making it decent, but about making it usable. Being one of the few attack speed ad items it could allow for non crit Ashe builds somewhere down the road. Hell I'd play with it myself to try and make something non crit that has comparable power.

But technically it is usable since it does give you an enhanced slow. Contrary to what you feel, the item is not "completely non-functional", you're clearly making an argument to make it better on Ashe. You're free to test different builds as you please, but I personally don't think you'll find one that outshines a build that incorporates crit.

Again, you're free to try and prove otherwise but that's one experiment I'm not going to run.
