Panth ult+camera lock fail

Have been playing infrequently lately, but noticed that after patch 5.4, the camera is twitchy and failing when using Panth's ult, in the manner that I normally do. To be specific, as Panth (:p) I play with the camera locked on champ. To ult, I hold click on the minimap to better aim position and aoe, to which I quick-cast the ult when ready. Typically then I could either hold the minimap click till the ult finishes, or more likely I would release the click and the camera would recenter on Panth and whatever stage his ult is in (i.e. him prepping to jump, or the target area before he lands). The camera would then follow Panth as it normally does.

However, recently and seemingly following patch 5.4, holding a minimap click and ulting seems to unlock the camera on the spot I was viewing, even after the ult is activated and then completed. Even worse, this is not a typical unlock, as subsequent presses of the camera lock button don't remedy the issue; the camera stays unlocked. The only remedy I have been able to figure out is to quickly spot click the minimap again, which seems to reset the camera; I can then toggle the camera lock normally.
